ADs for Christ hosted its 5th Annual Event in Nashville, Tennessee on July 16 and 17 at Lipscomb University. This was the first in-person event since the summer of 2019 and included 70 collegiate athletics directors/senior-level administrators, speakers, and sponsors from across the country.
The event was kicked off with a special appearance by three-time Grammy Award winner Michael W. Smith. Smith discussed his new book "The Way of the Father" and concluded his remarks by leading the crowd in the popular worship song "Good Good Father." The event also included guest speakers James "Mitch" Mitchell (team Chaplain for the Tennessee Titans), authors Kathryn and Jon Gordon, and Trent Dilfer (Super Bowl Champion and head football coach at Lipscomb Academy). Throughout the event, participants listened to AD testimonials from Louisiana Tech Vice President for Athletics Dr.
Eric Wood, Ole Miss Vice Chancellor of Intercollegiate Athletics Keith Carter, and Ohio Director of Athletics Julie Cromer and participated in small groups to discuss their takeaways from the incredible lineup of speakers.
Other activities included axe throwing at the Downtown Sporting Club, dinner at the Assembly Food Hall, and attending the Nashville FC Soccer game versus the Chicago Fire in Nissan Stadium.Â
